Its large succulent round leaves remain grayish green in colour throughout the season. We are plagued by both Japanese beetles and spider mites. Replant the divisions immediately to avoid the roots drying out, maintaining the 6 to 12 inch or 24 inch spacing between plants. It is not particular as to soil pH, but grows best in poor soils, and is able to handle environmental salt.
